Photoshoot Thomas Kirchberger
Artist Portrait Series ร Studio Collaboration
2023 ยท Studio portrait series
๐ Concept & Context
What began as a practical modeling request evolved into a curated portrait session that bridges personal creative output with photographic composition. Rather than standard headshots, this series uses self-made 3D-printed objects and intentional styling to document an artist in dialogue with their own material practice.
๐๏ธ Process & Setup
The shoot took place in Thomas Kirchberger's home photography studio. I was asked to bring multiple outfit changes alongside a selection of 3D-printed sculptures from my recent work. The session balanced structured posing with spontaneous interaction, allowing the printed forms to function as sculptural extensions of identity rather than static props.

๐ผ๏ธ Visual Approach & Outcome
Thomas's studio lighting and compositional precision highlighted material texture, spatial depth, and subtle expression. The resulting images treat the 3D prints not as background objects, but as active participants in the portrait โ exploring how digital fabrication, wearability, and photographic portraiture can intersect.
The outcome was a cohesive set of high-fidelity portraits that document both presence and creative process.
