For the 2025 Mitäs Mitäs Mitäs festival, OSC transformed a public space into "Konemusatyöpaja" (Instrument Workshop)—a fully interconnected synthesizer playground. We brought together a curated collection of analog and digital synthesizers, patching them all into a single, sprawling system that functioned as one living instrument.
👥 Participatory Experience
Rather than performing for the crowd, we invited them to play. Visitors freely explored signal paths, tweaked parameters, and contributed their own sonic gestures to the collective rig. What emerged was a fluid, constantly evolving performance shaped by dozens of hands—and no fixed setlist.
🎧 From Raw Sessions to Shared Soundscape
The entire workshop was captured through a multi-channel recording setup. Afterward, we processed and arranged the raw recordings into an original soundscape that distilled the day's spontaneous energy into a cohesive auditory piece. This newly composed work was then played live back to the festival audience, closing the loop between participation, documentation, and shared listening.
