Oulu Sound Collective ry founding party

The Oulu Sound Collective ry is a newly established non-profit association founded in early 2025 by a growing network of sound artists, technologists, and cultural enthusiasts across the Oulu region.

The launch of OSC was marked by a special founding concert that brought together the collective's founding members and invited guests from Prague, CZ. As one of the co-founders, I performed alongside all other OSC members during this landmark evening, which featured collaborative live electronics, improvised soundscapes, and cross-border sonic dialogue. The event served as both a celebration and a proof-of-concept for what OSC would become: a dynamic, community-driven platform for experimental audio in Northern Finland.

We are building OSC step by step to become a sustainable, valued part of Oulu's cultural landscape. Our goal is to create accessible, collaborative spaces where experimental audio practices, community building, and sonic exploration can thrive together.

Throughout 2025 and beyond, OSC hosts a series of experimental sound art concerts and live sessions. Our programming spans the full spectrum of contemporary audio: from immersive multi-channel spatial installations to intimate synth jams, hardware experiments, and deep-cut sonic explorations. Whether you're after cutting-edge acoustics or nostalgic analog textures, OSC has a stage for it.

The collective is open to new members, collaborators, performers, and supporters who want to help shape Oulu's future soundscape. If you'd like to join, contribute your sound or skills, or stay updated on upcoming concerts and events, reach out at:
