Project first exhibition

2022
Installation

I had my very first public exhibition during the neighboorhood event Parels van Bezuidenhout in The Hague. There, citizens could register to open their doors to show their hobbies. I was showcasing my first 3D printed objects together with my 3D printer.

I even got interviewed for the  local news paper(page 9)  back then wuhu

The 3D prints I made were made using my one-of-a-kind song-->3D print process which I have developed. I use a python script to transform sound files into 3D printable files. As part of the process, I get a digital 3D representation of the sound.

The 3D prints I showcased were a rocket which was made using sounds of the bombardment of Dresden and The Hague/Bezuidenhout which had a clear link for me, because both were bombed during Second World War. Whereas the Dresden bombing was purposely to a certain extend, Bezuidenhout was bombed accidentally after the bombers didn't hit the target due to wind and bad weather conditions.

the second installation I showcased was a phone in a Glas box and it stands for me, that a phone is the entrance to a world in which we can, even with physical presence encapsulate ourselves or also have access to an unseen world.
